Warmstead opened its doors in Bangkok in early 2019, started by a small group of facilitators and educators who had spent years working with families in community settings across Thailand. They noticed a gap: plenty of formal services existed, but very few places offered straightforward, accessible support without professional gatekeeping or high-pressure sales.
The name came from the idea of a homestead that's warm — a place that feels functional and familiar, not clinical or intimidating. From the beginning, the focus was on practical tools and shared conversation rather than advice-giving or outcome promises.
Today, Warmstead runs three core programs from its Lumphini location: communication workshops, coordination tools for households managing shared parenting, and facilitated peer groups. Each one is designed to be used at whatever pace a family needs.
What We're Here to Do
Practical Over Abstract
Every program is built around things families can actually use — templates, shared schedules, structured conversations.
Respectful, Non-Prescriptive
We share information and organizational frameworks. We don't tell people what to do or make promises about what will happen if they follow a particular path.
Open to All Households
Programs are designed for any family arrangement — traditional, blended, single-parent, or multi-generational. No one family structure is assumed.

Nattaporn has facilitated group programs for families and community organizations across Bangkok for over eight years, focusing on accessible communication skills.
Prawit Wongdee
Program Coordinator
Prawit manages the coordination tools program and works with families to set up shared scheduling systems that fit their day-to-day routines.
Arunee Charoen
Community Groups Lead
Arunee facilitates the peer support groups, drawing on a background in adult education and community organizing to keep sessions focused and respectful.
Our Standards & Practices
Participant Confidentiality
All participants sign a group confidentiality agreement before joining any session. Facilitators do not share information shared in group contexts.
Facilitation Standards
Our facilitators follow documented session guidelines and review their approach regularly. Sessions are structured with clear scope — educational information only.
Data Protection
Personal information collected during registration is stored securely and used only for program coordination. We comply with Thailand's PDPA data protection requirements.
Plain Language Commitment
All materials and sessions use plain, everyday language. We avoid professional jargon and do not make regulated-profession claims in any of our programs.
Ongoing Feedback Review
We collect written feedback after each program cycle and use it to update our session materials. Participant input shapes how each program develops.
Community Referral Network
Where needs fall outside our scope, we maintain a list of community organizations and public services we can point families toward — at no cost and without obligation.
